The best of 2013
It’s been a really great year for Cary Anne Photography. I am so so grateful for all of my clients this year. I feel honored to have been asked into the homes and lives of clients who hardly know me, to document some of their priceless moments. My work has taken me places I would have never imaged this year. My only hope is that it continues. It was very hard to select some of my favorite moments and portraits from this year and I am sure that I am forgetting many. However, here are the ones that stood out in my mind. Please enjoy and thank you thank you thank you to all my clients, friends and family for supporting me, trusting me, and choosing me through this process. I have big plans for 2014 and I can’t wait to get out there and document it.
One of my best gal pals Emily Frosaker-Taylor is starting Oklahoma City’s first blow out bar and boutique called Dry/Shop. We decided it would be fun to collaborate and do a photoshoot with our other mutual friend who does makeup, Ronda Williams (Melrose). We choose a girl that I have known for years to be the model, Katie Rake. Katie isn’t a model in real life but she sure could be she did a great job! We drew inspiration for our shoot from lots of different places ultimately it turned out to have an Edward Scissor hands meets Funny face (Audrey Hepburn) look. The main thing was we wanted to make the concept about women getting groomed and pampered. Emily just wanted photos that were fun and interesting to hang around her store that represented her concept. It took a lot more planning than we had anticipated but it was so worth it. I had so much fun playing dress up with some of my closest friends. I couldn’t ask for a better result to my first styled photoshoot. Here are some of my favorite frames from the shoot as well as some behind the scenes photos from our shoot. Ronda Williams (Melrose) makeup is available for hire to do makeup for any occasion. Dry/Shop will open in midtown okc this coming summer, stay tuned! Please enjoy!
